The Blackhawks have agreed to terms with forward Lucas Wallmark on a one-year contract, the team announced Monday. His average annual value is $950,000.

Wallmark, 25, tallied 23 points (11 goals, 12 assists) in 60 games last season for the Carolina Hurricanes before getting traded to the Florida Panthers, where he compiled two points (one goal, one assist) in seven contests.

Wallmark is a 6-foot, 176-pound center who has a career faceoff win percentage of 50.9. He also averaged 1:04 of ice time on the penalty kill for the Hurricanes, who had the fourth-best success rate (84 percent) last season.

Wallmark, who was originally drafted by the Hurricanes in the fourth round (No. 97 overall) of the 2014 NHL Draft, did not receive a qualifying offer from the Panthers, which made him an unrestricted free agent. He has 56 points (23 goals, 33 assists) in 167 games across four NHL seasons and five points (one goal, four assists) in 17 career playoff games.
