Chris Pronger denies involvement in robbery of 2010 Stanley Cup-winning puck

Ever Since Patrick Kane slid the Cup-clinching goal past Michael Leighton in Game 6 of the 2010 Stanley Cup Final, the mystery of "who has the puck?” remains unsolved.

Former Flyers defenseman Chris Pronger made a habit throughout the series of taking pucks after games, and many pointed the finger at Pronger as the captor of the puck from Game 6. In an interview with Sportsnet Canada, Pronger owned up to having one of the pucks from that Stanley Cup Final series, just not the one everyone has been looking for.

"I do not have Game 6. For all of you on Twitter and Instagram and all the rest of that, I do not have Game 6," the former Flyers star said. "I was on the bench. I don't know what happened to it, but I still have Game 2.”

"We just got pumped again and went down 2-0, and we go back to Philly and no one's even talking about the two games. They're all mad about this stupid puck,” Pronger said. “Like, get a grip. You guys are up 2-0, and you're mad you didn't get to put a puck on your board."

Game 2's puck is in Pronger’s possession, but the mystery of the Game 6 puck is still unresolved. And While Pronger attempted to cross himself off the list, it's doubtful this revelation fully puts him in the clear.
