On Monday, after Major League Baseball postponed the Miami Marlins' home opener and a game between the New York Yankees and Philadelphia Phillies, the National Hockey League saw some great news a day after teams like the Chicago Blackhawks arrived in hub cities Edmonton and Toronto for the league's 24-team postseason.

The NHL announced that as teams concluded their Phase 3 formal training camps on Saturday, zero players tested positive for COVID-19. From July 18-25, 4,256 tests were administered to over 800 players.

Two players had tested positive from July 13-17, the only positive tests during all of Phase 3.

The Blackhawks, housed and playing in Edmonton for the postseason, are off Monday, but are expected to practice Tuesday before taking on the St. Louis Blues in an exhibition game Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. CT. The Hawks begin their best-of-five series against the Oilers, with the winner advancing to Round One of the Stanley Cup Playoffs on Saturday at 2 p.m. CT.
