Patrick Kane shares how he's spending time during coronavirus pandemic

With real hockey on the horizon it’s finally an exciting time again for the NHL and the Blackhawks.

But for now, players are still under stay-at-home orders like everyone else. Patrick Kane recently spoke with Men’s Journal to share how he’s getting through quarantine, and to talk some hockey as well.

To start, Kane talks about how he’s trying to stay in shape without access to ice.

“I do have a pair of rollerblades,” Kane said in the video. “There’s these blades called ‘Marsblades’ and you can put them on your actual skates and skate around, so I’ve done that a couple of times.

“I have a stick and ball. Stick handle with the hockey ball around the house. But besides that not too much, just trying almost to treat it like the offseason a little bit. Take some time off, try to get away. I’m sure we’ll have more than enough time to get back into it.”

Kane also reveals he’s gotten in on the video game Call of Duty: War Zone hype. He’s playing NHL 20 (of course) and The Golf Club too.

“Before all of this started, I probably hadn’t played video games in the past five or six years,” Kane said. “So I’m pretty rusty on ‘em.

“I would say I’m ok at NHL, I think I’m probably one of the best out of my friends in The Golf Club game, and then Call of Duty I’m just terrible. I played it the other day for the first time and I didn’t even have a chance out there.

“It’s fun, it helps the time go by a little bit and it’s fun to be on there with your buddies, talk to them through the headset.”
