On Tuesday, Ben Pope of The Chicago Sun Times reported that Dominik Kubalik received a qualifying offer from the Blackhawks, which would make him a restricted free agent with the team for the rest of the offseason.

Kubalik, who scored 30 goals as a rookie with Chicago this past regular season, is negotiating a new contract with the Blackhawks according to Pope.

The Hawks also have to figure out how to proceed with unrestricted free agent Corey Crawford and other restricted free agents such as Dylan Strome, Drake Caggiula and Slater Koekkoek before free agency opens up Friday at 11 a.m.
