Crawford has been a big-time playoff performer for the Blackhawks and he turned in an all-time great effort in Game 4 against the Vegas Golden Knights by stopping 48 of 49 shots for a save percentage of .980. We didn't know it at the time, but this would be his final win in a Chicago uniform. And what a fitting vintage performance it was.

The buzz in the atmosphere was palpable on Jan. 21 against the Florida Panthers. It was the first time Coach Q was returning to the United Center since being relieved of his duties and served as an opportunity for the Chicago fans to finally thank the second-winningest coach ever for his contributions to the three Stanley Cup runs. The first-period ovation was absolutely deafening, and deservedly so. The Blackhawks lost 4-3, but that night was all about honoring Q.

The Blackhawks snuck into the postseason as the No. 12 seed in the Western Conference and they made the most of their opportunity by knocking off the No. 5 seed Edmonton Oilers in four games. It was the Blackhawks' first postseason series win since the 2015 Stanley Cup Final. Even though the run didn't last very long, it was fun to have playoff hockey in Chicago again.

On June 24, Hossa was elected to the Hockey Hall of Fame in his first year of eligibility and Wilson finally got the call after a 24-year wait. Hossa won three Stanley Cups with the Blackhawks while Wilson spent his first 14 seasons in Chicago and was one of the most prolific offensive defensemen of his generation. Two of the six members of the 2020 class were Blackhawks.

On Jan. 19, Kane became the 90th player in NHL history to hit the 1,000-point mark and the fourth player in franchise history to do so after recording a secondary assist in a 5-2 win over the Winnipeg Jets. The most memorable part of the evening was the on-ice celebration. Jonathan Toews received permission from league officials, allowing the Blackhawks to clear the bench and mob Kane after accomplishing the feat.
