Maybe we should have seen former Blackhawks forward Bryan Bickell's remarkable 2013 postseason campaign coming. Prior to putting himself in the Conn Smythe discussion with 17 points (nine goals, eight assists) in 23 Stanley Cup playoff games that year and helping give Blackhawks fans 17 seconds they'll never forget, Bickell played playoff hero in the first game of the 2013 postseason.

At the United Center on April 30, 2013 the Hawks were tied 1-1 off a second-period power-play goal from Marian Hossa in Game 1 of the Western Conference quarterfinals, which is being re-aired Monday on NBC Sports Chicago at 4 p.m. Central.

Former Blackhawks defenseman Johnny Oduya chipped the puck off the boards up to former Hawks forward Viktor Stalberg. Stalberg passed it on a two-on-one rush to Bickell, who won the game with backhander at 16:35.

"We just needed to stay patient," Bickell, a future two-time Stanley Cup champ with the Blackhawks told reporters after the game. "We were getting our opportunities. Not odd-man rushes like they were, but we got the one, and to capitalize on it is huge. With our speed, through the whole season a lot of teams were trying to shut us down and let us get frustrated."
