The Minnesota Timberwolves landed the coveted first-overall pick of the 2020 NBA Draft and used it to select Georgia's Anthony Edwards. There has been some questions about his commitment to basketball after some comments expressing a lack of interest in the sport.

Buying in defensively is also an issue, but pundits believe the talent is there if they can resolve that issue.

Minnesota, along with the Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers, had the best odds to land the No. 1 pick.

News of another leg injury to Klay Thompson also come on the day of the draft.

It will be interesting to see how the Ball family blends in with Michael Jordan's team. LaMelo's father LaVar said he could beat Michael Jordan in 1-on-1.

The Houston Rockets landed the 16th-overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft via a trade with the Portland Trail Blazers. The Rockets also received Trevor Ariza and a 2021 protected first-round pick in the deal. The Trail Blazers landed Robert Covington.

The Rockets then traded this pick and Trevor Ariza to the Detroit Pistons for a future first-round pick, according to Adrian Wojnarowski. The Rockets are also purchasing the Pistons' 2021 second-round pick (via the Los Angeles Lakers) for $4.6 million.
