34 Days to Opening Night: Wendell Carter

Share

It didn’t take long for the Bulls to know they had something special in Wendell Carter Jr.

The seventh overall pick was stellar in the Las Vegas Summer League, averaging 14.6 points, 9.4 rebounds and 2.6 blocks in just 28.8 minutes. He shot 55 percent from the field and even made a few 3-pointers.

He’ll probably be behind Robin Lopez on the depth chart to begin the year, but don’t be surprised if he surpasses Lopez by the All-Star Break. It’s Lauri’s and Wendell’s frontcourt for the forseeable future.
