Bulls' LaVine fine after incident with overzealous fan

Zach LaVine is fine. He's also still excited about heading to his first NBA All-Star game Sunday in Atlanta.

His weekend just got off to an eventful start.

On the same Thursday night that Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant drafted him for his team in Sunday's game, a woman whom LaVine didn't know arrived at his residence and wouldn't leave when asked.

As first reported by TMZ and later confirmed by NBC Sports Chicago, it took a call to local police for the woman to leave. According to the police report, the woman asked to be taken to a local hospital for a mental health evaluation and she was transported to Illinois Masonic rather than being arrested. The report stated that police gave the woman a verbal warning not to return to LaVine's residence.

LaVine is scheduled to fly to Atlanta on Saturday. The NBA has strict travel protocols in place for the All-Star game because of the pandemic.
