The Chicago Bulls declined Ryan Arcidiacono's $3 million team option for the 2021-22 season, NBC Sports Chicago's K.C. Johnson reported Sunday.
Arcidiacono, who played his first four NBA seasons with the team after going undrafted out of Villanova, will become a free agent, where he is expected to garner interest. He could also be a candidate to return to the Bulls on a minimum deal down the line.

With the move, the Bulls wipe a potential $3 million slot from their 2021-22 books. While the team's current salaries and free-agent cap holds have them well over the salary-cap line, they could continue to clear space by renouncing free agents and waiving the partially guaranteed contracts of Thad Young and Tomáš Satoranský.
Across his first four seasons, Arcidiacono played 207 games with the Bulls, averaging 4.8 points and 2.2 assists, and shooting 37.3 percent from 3-point range.
