Denzel Valentine releases third single, titled ‘On Sight'

Denzel Valentine has spent part of the Bulls' long layoff building on hip-hop aspirations.

His first track, "Introduction," dropped in January with a well-produced music video to match. Since the COVID-19 pandemic paused the NBA season, he's released a second single, titled "Get Ya Grind Up," in July and featured alongside Diamond Jones on a track called "Hate Me" in late March.

Friday, he dropped a third single in collaboration with Rockie Fresh titled "On Sight." Valentine hops on the bouncy, ethereal beat — produced by EP1DMC — at around the two-and-a-half minute mark:

Since the song's release, teammates including Coby White and Cristiano Felício have reposted Valentine's Instagram post promoting the project with shows of support.

The four-year swingman is set to hit free agency this offseason, though the Bulls can earn matching rights on any offer sheet he signs if they extend a qualifying offer. Valentine participated in the Bulls' voluntary group workout program at the Advocate Center that spanned from mid-September to early October.

He's also made a point to make his philanthropic impact felt in communities close to him. In March, Valentine made a donation to the Greater Lansing Food Bank in his hometown of Lansing, Mich. that WILX 10 of Lansing reported to be $10,000. He soon after partnered with Nando's to provide meals to families and staff of the Ronald McDonald House near Lurie Children's Hospital in Chicago.

And don't expect Valentine's musical exploits to slow any time soon. He said in a recent interview with Annie Costabile of the Chicago Sun-Times that an album titled "517 Made Me" is coming soon.
