DeMar DeRozan has ignited the Chicago Bulls, and given a maligned fanbase reason to dream again.
With Saturday night's 3-point buzzer-beater to defeat the Washington Wizards — DeRozan's second in as many nights — the man who's now been monikered by many the "King in the Fourth" ignited NBA Twitter as well.
First, there was DeRozan's Bulls teammates.
Then, on social media, there were the reactions of Lonzo Ball and Alfonzo McKinnie, who each missed the game after recently exiting health and safety protocols; Alex Caruso, who is rehabbing a foot sprain; and Tyler Cook, Troy Brown Jr., Devon Dotson, Matt Thomas and Jordan Bell:
Reactions came in from across the league as well. LeBron James exclaimed in disbelief at DeRozan's repeated heroics. Chris Paul called the Bulls star "so cold."
Ex-teammates of DeRozan from his Raptors days, Fred VanVleet and Pascal Siakam, chimed in — with VanVleet even campaigning for DeRozan to win MVP:
And Wizards players Kyle Kuzma, who hit a go-ahead 3 just before DeRozan's shot, and Montrezl Harrell tipped their caps as well:
