Derrick Rose is coming home.

A source confirmed that the Pistons guard has accepted an invitation to participate in the Skills Challenge at All-Star Weekend in Chicago, which was first reported by The Athletic's Shams Charania. Rose won this competition in 2009 during his rookie season when the weekend was held in Phoenix.

Rose is enjoying a strong season with the Pistons, whom the Bulls visit Saturday in Detroit. He is averaging 17.3 points and 5.7 assists in just 24.8 minutes.

Rose routintely draws "MVP! MVP!" chants when he visits the United Center as a visiting player now. He became the youngest most valuable player in NBA history with the Bulls following the 2010-11 season before suffering a succession of knee injuries and surgeries.
