Final takeaways on Michael Jordan, ‘The Last Dance’ as we say goodbye

The finale of "The Last Dance" reveled in the Bulls' triumph. After the show, Jason Goff, Kendall Gill, K.C. Johnson and Big Dave Watson did, too.

In the gang's final episode recap roundtable of the epic, 10-part documentary event, the four chopped it up on everything ranging from the dynasty's viability if they had pushed for a seventh title, Steve Kerr's moving segment, Flu Game conspiracies and much more.

To cap it off, each shared their prevailing takeaways from the docuseries.

"I love documentaries because there is something that is beautiful about the unscripted more so than the written, to me," Goff said. "And once you can capture a great story, and the ups and the downs and the bumps that everybody has to go through, no matter what level of success, the humanization of Michael Jordan I think is something that I had been searching for for a very long time as a fan of his... I'm glad I got to see it in this light.

"I've always been attracted to greatness," Johnson said. "It's why I loved watching Kobe Bryant and would get to Lakers-Bulls games early and watch him take the court three hours early and practice left-handed shots. It's why I still get excited — which is rare for me — when I get to cover a LeBron James game. I've just always been attracted to greatness, and Michael is the greatest of all time in my opinion. So to see him on this stage, giving present day interviews was phenomenal."

"One of the great things about the Bulls is they always lived up to the hype," Watson said. "That's what this documentary did. When it was announced, the hype began and the weight was on, and it was a two-year wait, and they even moved it up... But it lived up to the hype every week."

"I believe this documentary could probably go down as one of the greatest of all time," Gill said. "The reason being is because you have an iconic franchise, an iconic coach, an iconic player that the whole world related to. Two other iconic players in Scottie Pippen and Dennis Rodman. A present-day iconic coach in Steve Kerr. At an unprecedented time in our history."
