When (or if) the NBA returns this year, the Miami Heat will have no excuses for being rusty on the court.
That’s because Jimmy Butler bought hoops for all of his teammates during quarantine, according to the Miami Herald.
You might think it’s crazy for NBA players to not have their own baskets, but according to the South Florida Sun Sentinel, only Goran Dragic had a hoop to shoot on, and it was a portable basket.
But it’s not only the Heat players getting baskets. Reports say players on a two-way contract and members of the Heat coaching staff got hoops, too.
Butler is giving back to the community, as well. According to the Sun Sentinel, he ordered one basket to be delivered to a local school or youth program to match every basket sent to a member of the Heat.
Hopefully, kids will be able to enjoy those hoops together soon.Click here to download the new MyTeams App by NBC Sports! Receive comprehensive coverage of your teams and stream the Bulls easily on your device.
