Lauri Markkanen landed in Charlotte on Thursday ahead of his appearance in the Rising Stars Challenge that will take place on Friday. He's already having fun with the festivities.
Markkanen is playing on Team World. He tweeted about his arrival to Charlotte and tagged coach Dirk Nowitzki a cheeky comment about practice. Hilarity ensued when Markkanen's Team World teammate Luka Doncic got involved.
Markkanen's response to Doncic has a bit of dark comedy for Bulls fans considering the team reportedly debated not showing up to a practice the day after playing back-to-back games. Regardless, this was a fun bit of banter heading into All-Star Weekend.
Markkanen also played in the game last year. He had 15 points, six rebounds and had a game-high plus-minus of plus-23 in Team World's win.
