A pair of Michael Jordan game-worn shoes has just become the most expensive sneakers ever bought at auction.

At a Sotheby’s auction that concluded Sunday morning, the Air Jordan 1’s were sold for $560,000. They were worn by MJ in 1985 and feature the “Chicago” colorway. The shoes are also signed by Jordan.

One interesting note from the listing: One shoe is a size 13, while the other is a 13.5.

In case you were wondering, that $560,000 could have also bought 4,869 standard pairs of Air Jordan 1 Mids, which retail for $115.

Air Jordans are still incredibly popular shoes, with new iterations being released nearly every year since they debuted in 1985.

The former record for most expensive sneakers sold at auction was a $437,500 pair of 1972 Nike “Moon Shoes,” according to Guinness World Records.

The most expensive shoes ever bought at auction are Judy Garland’s ruby red slippers from “The Wizard of Oz,” which sold for $666,000 in 2000.
