On the latest episode of the "Bulls Talk Podcast," Jason Goff, Kendall Gill, K.C. Johnson and David Watson broke down all things Episodes 5 and 6 of "The Last Dance" — from the Kobe Bryant-Michael Jordan bond, to the rise of Jordan Brand, to the documentary's handling of Jordan's role (or lack thereof) in the 1990 North Carolina Senate election and more.
Gill also had a Jordan story to share, in keeping with Episode 6 honing in on Jordan's gambling exploits.
Asked by Goff whether he had ever lost money to Jordan, Gill confidently said no. In fact, he very nearly won money from Jordan, once upon a time.
"One day, we were playing cards at my house in Charlotte. Him and his best friend, Adolph, at the time came over," Gill recalled. "He (Jordan) had come into town to visit his parents, and (we) stayed up all night."
No, really. All night.
"You know, when Magic was talking about him playing cards with Michael and being like, 'Let’s stay up another hour.' He did the same thing to me," Gill said. "And, you know, I’m beating him out of his money. This guy stays up until 7 o'clock in the morning until he wins all of his money back. Seriously. True story, man."
Then, laughing: "I seriously wanted Michael Jordan to leave my house. I’m like dude, you’ve been over here for seven hours. Leave."

When Jordan did finally leave, he and Gill were even. But Gill had quite the story to tell.
