NBA teams have known for some time that the 2020 NBA Draft would be unprecedented.
Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, everything seems that way these days.
Now, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the league is “progressing on plans” for a virtual draft combine in September.

The precise particulars are unclear, but Wojnarowski reported that the combine would involve prospects participating in team-doctor-adminstered physicals, league-official-administered body measurements and some “physical testing” — all at regional team facilities.
Thus far, teams have reportedly only had the ability to grind game tape and conduct remote interviews with players. In comments to the media, Artūras Karnišovas has said the Bulls are well into their draft preparation.
Any kind of combine would be a positive for teams evaluating process, even if it won’t provide the type of access clubs historically receive.
Per multiple reports, the draft is currently scheduled for October 16. The draft lottery, though, is fast-approaching this Thursday, and the Bulls once again have a stake in the results.
