Three Things to Watch: Bulls square off against red-hot Heat

It's a Martin Luther King Jr. Day matinee between the Bulls and Heat, and you can catch all the action on NBC Sports Chicago. Tune in at 2 p.m. for Bulls Pregame Live to kick things off.

1. The Heat are the hottest team in the league: The Bulls haven't had too much trouble with some of the better teams in the league, but they'll get another one when they face off against the Heat. Miami has won a league-best seven consecutive games and 12 of 15 in the last month. Goran Dragic, Josh Richardson and Tyler Johnson are all cruising in the backcourt, newcomer Kelly Olynyk is playing well and Hassan Whiteside is finally healthy. This will be a difficult task for the Bulls, although Miami is on the second half of a back-to-back after beating the Bucks at home on Sunday.

2. Zach LaVine is back in action: The centerpiece of the Jimmy Butler trade made his debut on Saturday and looked great. LaVine scored 14 points on 5-for-9 shooting and made three of his four triples. He looked fluid, moved well without the ball and his jumper looked sharp. Now, he's clearly going to be a little fatigued and will face another tough defense in Miami. What will he do for an encore?

3. A winning streak on the line: Don't look now but the Bulls have won three of five games. A win against the Heat would give them their third three-game winning streak of the year. At the start of the season it would have been difficult to see this team winning three straight at any point in the year, and yet here we are. And with Golden State coming to town on Wednesday, this might be the Bulls' last chance at a victory before they travel to Atlanta for a game Saturday.
