Why Bulls rookie Coby White wants to face Damian Lillard, learn to play piano

Be careful what you wish for, rook.

Coby White was one of a handful of rookies to answer questions at the Panini NBA Rookie photo shoot earlier this week.

First, some of the pictures are outstanding. Check out the gallery from the Bulls below.

But White was also asked which player he's most looking forward to playing. Not surprisingly, it was a fellow point guard.

"Probably Damian Lillard. He's my favorite player. He has worked for everything he has had. He has earned everything and he's such a bucket. He plays the point guard position well and is one of the best point guards in the league. Definitely looking forward to taking on that challenge."

White will get a chance to square off against Lillard early in the year. The Bulls host the Blazers on Nov. 25 and then travel to Portland four days later.

Lillard was quiet in two games against the Bulls last season, averaging just 13.5 points on 29.2% shooting. That was his lowest point total against any team. The bad news is that it didn't mean much for the Bulls. The Blazers won both games by 12 and 20 points and have won five straight dating back to 2016-17 against the Bulls.

White also answered a few other questions.

Here's what he had to say about his first dunk:

"You want me to tell you everything?" White said. "Well, I was at Greenfield School, in the gym at my high school [in Wilson, North Carolina], and we just got done playing pickup. There was no air conditioning. This was when I was a freshman. I never really tried before. It was a rim-grazer, but it was good for me. It was an amazing surprise because I didn't think I was going to do it."

And one thing he's worried about most acclimating to the professional basketball life:

"My free time. You have so much downtime. You're always on a schedule in college. You always have people telling you where to go and where to be. So I think I'm going to learn piano or something like that."
