Zach LaVine is the betting long shot in 3-point contest

The Bulls don’t have much representation in All-Star weekend, but they do have Zach LaVine in the 3-point contest.

However, according to Bet Online’s odds, LaVine is a long shot to win the event. In fact, he’s the longest shot.

LaVine comes in at 10-1, the longest odds of the eight competitors. Damian Lillard, who has been incredibly hot as of late, and Joe Harris, the defending champion, are co-favorites at 7-2.

LaVine has the second-lowest 3-point percentage of the eight participants at 37.6%. Only Trae Young (36.7%) is lower. Even with home court advantage, it’s not a big surprise that LaVine is a long shot.

There is some Chicago love in the odds though. Former Bull and Chicago native Derrick Rose is the co-favorite in the Skills Challenge. He is listed at 3-1 alongside Spencer Dinwiddie. Rose won the competition as a Bull back in 2009 and Dinwiddie won it two years ago. Defending champion Jayson Tatum (6-1) is also in the field. Patrick Beverley, another Chicago native and 2015 champion, is 7-1.

There are no Chicago ties in the dunk contest, to the chagrin of those hoping to see LaVine return to the competition on his home floor, but Aaron Gordon is heavily favored. He comes in at 11-10 with Derrick Jones Jr. at 5-2, Dwight Howard at 7-2 and Pat Connaughton at 5-1.
