Zach LaVine is working to make a difference during his time away from basketball — even while members of the Bulls self-quarantine in the city of Chicago.
In a tweet Friday night, LaVine announced he is committing 12,500 meals to those impacted by COVID-19 pandemic in Seattle through Feeding America:
I want to do my part and help my communities as much as I can during this difficult time. I’m starting off by committing 12,500 meals to the city of Seattle with @FeedingAmerica. As you know, I grew up here in Seattle and will always be #seattlestrong

Statewide, there have been 1,512 cases with 81 deaths due to the novel coronavirus in Washington, per KIRO7.
