The Knights saw their season-long, five-game winning streak come to an end Tuesday afternoon as they dropped a 5-2 decision to visiting Durham.

Gaby Hernandez, who was making his White Sox debut, had won a combined 20 games over the previous two seasons in the Pacific Coast League. But the former third-round pick by the Mets 2004 is with his fourth franchise in as many seasons and was not impressive in his Knights Stadium debut. He allowed four runs on six hits and three walks over four innings.

While a trio of relievers kept the Bulls largely in check over the final five innings, the Knights couldnt do much after scoring single runs in each of the first two innings. Alejandro De Aza, Gookie Dawkins, who has hit safely in five of six games, and Stefan Gartrell each had a pair of hits but it was enough as the Knights went 1-for-9 with runners in scoring position.
