Bears Grades: Defensive line a non-factor vs. Vikings

Willie Young posted a sack in his fifth straight game (then displaying an ice-fishing sack celebration). But the defensive line failed to get another hit on quarterback Teddy Bridgewater and the Vikings, even with Adrian Peterson hobbled somewhat with an ankle injury, still rushed for 129 yards, albeit on 36 carries, as the Bears were never able to gain any measure of control of the front.

“We’ve just got to play better,” said defensive end Jarvis Jenkins. “It’s as simple as that.”

The defensive line collectively was a non-factor in a game the Bears needed to dominate at points of attack.
