It was one of those days that you will always remember where you were when history happened. Bears head coach John Fox remembers exactly where he was on Sept. 11, 2001 and on Friday put aside his usual Bears team hat in favor of one marked “NYPD” in honor of the New York policemen (and others) who served and perished in the attacks on the World Trade Center.
Fox was the defensive coordinator for the New York Giants during that time.
“I was in New York during that,” Fox said. “Kind of embedded in me ever since. Lost some close friends and holds a special place every September 11.”
