Searching for key depth on the offensive line, the Bears signed offensive lineman Mike Adams and waived Nick Becton on Wednesday.

Adams, a former second-round pick out of Ohio State in 2012, started 20 games over three seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers (2012-14). Adams missed the entire 2015 season after undergoing back surgery.

The signing reunites Adams with Bears' running backs coach Stan Drayton in Chicago. Drayton served as a wide receivers coach at Ohio State while Adams was a key member of the Buckeyes offensive line in 2011.

Becton, 26, appeared in five games with the Bears last season.
