The caller into Thursdays media conference call was identified only a John from Baltimore and he had a question for Jack and Jackie Harbaugh, parents of Super Bowl coaches Jim Harbaugh of the San Francisco 49ers and John of the Baltimore Ravens:
Is it true that both of you like Jim more than John? the caller asked.
Mom and Dad Harbaugh knew immediately who the questioner was: son John.
Thats John! daughter Joani Crean yelled, laughing. It was.
With all the different nicknames being hung on the Super Bowl XLVII because of the two brothers coaching against each other, the non-Super Bowl coach Harbaughs were asked what their choice was: Har-Bowl or what?
For me its the Lombardi Trophy game because I go back to the beginning, Jack said. To see now where this great classic has come from and come from and is, is literally awesome.
