Blackhawks agree to terms with Carl Dahlstrom

The Blackhawks announced Thursday that they have agreed to a three-year entry-level contract with Swedish defenseman Carl Dahlstrom, which begins at the beginning of the 2016-17 season.

The deal carries a cap hit of $750,833, according to generalfanager.com.

He was a second-round pick (No. 51 overall) by the Blackhawks in the 2013 NHL Draft, and had spent the past three years in the Swedish Hockey League. He registered one goal and seven assists in 50 games this season with Linköpings HC.

Dahlstrom, 21, accumulated 15 points (four goals and 11 assists) in 117 career regular-season games, and appeared in 31 playoffs games (one goal and four assists) across three seasons with the club.
