Blackhawks G Corey Crawford named second star of the week

Corey Crawford was named the NHL's second star for the week ending Nov. 6. after going 3-0-0 with a 1.00 goals against average, .971 save percentage and one shutout.

He kicked things off by stopping 33 of 34 shots in a 5-1 victory over the Calgary Flames, then followed that up with a 38-save shutout en route to a 4-0 win over the Colorado Avalanche. It's Crawford's second shutout of the year and the 21st of his career.

The 31-year-old Blackhawks netminder concluded the week by recording 31 saves in a 3-2 win against the Dallas Stars.

Crawford owns a 6-3-1 record with a 2.01 goals against average, .936 save percentage and two shutouts in 10 starts this season, all of which rank among the top 10 in those respective categories.

Tampa Bay Lightning forward Nikita Kucherov (seven points in three games) and New York Rangers center Kevin Hayes (four goals and two assists in four games) were named the first and third stars, respectively.
