The Blackhawks made a minor league trade on Monday, acquiring goaltender Drew MacIntyre from the Carolina Hurricanes for defenseman Dennis Robertson. MacIntyre will report to the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League.

MacIntyre, 32, owns an 11-13-1 record with a 3.09 goals against average and .890 save percentage in 28 games with the AHL's Charlotte Checkers this season. In 432 career AHL games, he has compiled a 223-156-6 record and is also 42-30 in 76 career Calder Cup playoffs games.

MacIntyre gives the IceHogs, who lead the Central Division with 70 points, some goaltending depth heading into the stretch run and postseason. Rockford also signed goaltender Mac Carruth to a one-year deal on Sunday, which runs through the end of the season.

Robertson, 24, had five points (two goals and three assists) in 37 games with the IceHogs this year.

He was acquired by the Blackhawks last offseason in a deal that sent Kris Versteeg and Joakim Nordstrom to Carolina.
