Blackhawks owner Rocky Wirtz takes a playful jab at Lightning

Blackhawks owner Rocky Wirtz had some fun at Thursday's Stanley Cup rally.

Treacherous weather conditions Monday night made it difficult for fans to get to Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Final between the Blackhawks and Lightning.

The Blackhawks won that game, 2-0, earning their sixth Stanley Cup in the last six seasons. That set the stage for Thursday's parade and rally, where Wirtz was ready with a zinger for his opponent.

"Hey, did anyone notice we had a bit of rain on Monday night?" Wirtz asked the Soldier Field crowd. "I didn't see any lightning."

Wirtz went on to thank the city of Chicago for hosting Thursday's events, and described this third Stanley Cup Final win as for the fans and the city of Chicago.

"You, our fans, are the reason we want to keep the Cup home," he added. "Our one goal now is let's stay at home. Let's do it again, and let's get four."
