Blackhawks updates: Rozsival in, Ehrhoff out vs. Kings

Michal Rozsival will return tonight when the Blackhawks host the Los Angeles Kings on CSN+.

Rozsival missed Friday’s game in Dallas with a lower-body injury. With his return, Christian Ehrhoff, who the Blackhawks acquired from the Los Angeles Kings earlier this month, will not play.

“He’s played all right,” coach Joel Quenneville said of Ehrhoff. “He gives us a puck-moving defenseman off the point, has a nice shot and had some really good looks. He sees plays, makes plays and defensively he’s been all right as well. So we have six or seven guys right now and some nights we have to make decisions. We want everybody playing.”

The Blackhawks will face a Kings team featuring two of their former players: forward Kris Versteeg, who the Kings acquired from Carolina at the deadline, and defenseman Rob Scuderi, who was part of the Ehrhoff deal. Scuderi, who wasn’t cracking the Blackhawks’ lineup in his final weeks here, has played anywhere from 15-23 minutes since returning to Los Angeles.

“I’m probably a better fit in LA. I don’t think that’s criminal to say. I’m not the first person in professional sports that wasn’t a fit in one place,” he said. “It’s OK to admit that and I’m glad each party can move on.”
