NASHVILLE — Corey Crawford finished a great regular season in which he was sometimes the reason the Blackhawks won games. On Wednesday, he lasted all of 20 minutes.

Scott Darling replaced Crawford to start the second period, as the Blackhawks trailed the Nashville Predators, 3-0, after the first. Crawford allowed three goals on 12 shots. Still, it was a bit of a surprise to see coach Joel Quenneville pull the plug so early.

Crawford’s worst goal was the second, when Viktor Stalberg had an empty-net score after Crawford got caught trying to play the puck behind the net. Colin Wilson scored the other two goals, badly beating Michal Rozsival on the first and tipping Sean Jones’ shot on the other.
