Gary Bettman: NHL ‘delighted to bring the draft' to Chicago

Chicago will host the 2017 NHL Draft, and NHL commissioner Gary Bettman said the league is "delighted" about the arrangement.

The commissioner spoke with CSN's own Luke Stuckmeyer about the decision to choose Chicago, which has never hosted a draft, in the video above.

"That is also a function of how great the fans are here, the enthusiasm for hockey and for the Blackhawks in Chicago, and this is a world-class city that's capable of hosting major events and lots of guests from out of town," Bettman said. "We're delighted to bring the draft here, particularly in the centennial year for a team that is in the Original Six and never hosted a draft before."
