The woman who was with Patrick Kane’s alleged rape victim has been subpoenaed to appear before a grand jury on Sept. 8, according to a report from WGRZ in Buffalo.

Kane is being investigated for an alleged rape that may have occurred at his Hamburg, N.Y. home in early August. Kane has not been charged in this case.

Scott Levin of WGRZ first reported the initial subpoena news this morning. Friday afternoon Levin tweeted that, according to sources, everyone who was at Kane’s home the night of the alleged rape has been subpoenaed.

Former Erie County District Attorney Frank Clark told WGRZ that he doesn’t expect the grand jury to make any decisions before the end of September. He added that it could take weeks or even months.

“Right now, it looks as though the decider as to whether or not Patrick Kane is guilty of any criminal conduct or not will be an Erie County grand jury,” Clark told WGRZ.
