Road Ahead: Much-needed rest for the Blackhawks

CSN's Chris Boden and Insider Tracey Myers have the latest on the Blackhawks in the Road Ahead, presented by Chicagoland and NW Indiana Honda Dealers.

The NHL All-Star break has come at an opportune time for the Blackhawks.

After winning 7 out of 9 games, the Blackhawks have hit a rough patch and lost two straight contests, allowing 7 third period goals during that span.

The Blackhawks — outside of Jonathan Toews, Patrick Kane, Duncan Keith and Corey Crawford who will be in Los Angeles for the NHL All-Star game — will get some much-needed rest as they're off until Tuesday night when they visit the San Jose Sharks.

"Just erase your memory from the last couple of games," Myers said. "Know what happened and realize you have to change it, but there's no doubt this is actually a pretty good time for these guys to get away. They've played 50-something games. Some of them were saying that it would be nice to recharge and just let the body heal a little bit."

Check out what else Boden and Myers had to say in the video above.
