Tyler Motte is turning pro.

The now-former Michigan junior forward has officially agreed to a three-year entry-level contract with the Blackhawks, electing to forego his senior season in college. The news was first reported by Jason Rubinstein of the Michigan Daily.

The deal carries a cap hit of $925,000, and including $92,500 in signing bonuses each year, according to capfriendly.com.

Motte, a 2013 fourth-round pick by the Blackhawks, was named a top-10 finalist for the Hobey Baker Award, annually given to the top NCAA hockey player, earlier this month for his sensational 2015-16 campaign.

He finished with 32 goals, which ranked second in the nation, and 25 assists in 38 games this season with the Wolverines, guiding them to the regional finals of the NCAA tournament before falling to North Dakota.

Motte also averaged 1.47 points per game average, good for third-best among all Division I players. He was named to the All-Big Ten first team at the end of the year.

Across three seasons at Michigan, Motte registered 105 points (50 goals and 55 assists) in 107 games.
