INDIANAPOLIS — Indiana Pacers forward Paul George was ejected late in the third quarter of Saturday night's game with the Bulls due to kicking a basketball into the stands and hitting a fan in the face.

With 1:42 left in the third, George was called for a foul defending Olympic teammate Jimmy Butler underneath the basket. As the ball dribbled lightly near George's feet, he nonchalantly booted the ball into the stands, hitting a female fan in the face in the first row.

Upon recognizing his mistake, he walked over to the fan and he hugged her, with her nodding to him that she was okay and even laughing with George.

But the officials ejected George for the act of kicking the ball near the direction of a fan, no matter the intention.

George left with 13 points on 5-for-10 shooting and the Pacers leading by 20.
