Derrick Rose weeps after Chinese fans present moving tribute video

Derrick Rose's biggest fans aren't from Chicago. That's a fact.

It may be jolting to read given that No. 1 jerseys are still rocked everywhere from Englewood to Edgewater, but his hometown supporters have absolutely nothing on his Chinese fans.

That was proven this weekend when the youngest MVP in NBA history visited Shenyang, China on an Adidas promotional event. There, D-Rose was shown an incredibly moving tribute video featuring his Chinese diehards praising him. From "I love you, Rose" to "you're my hero," the video was a literal tear-jerker. As in, it left Rose in literal tears:

It makes sense that the kid from Chicago would have international name recognition because of his meteoric rise in the world's elite basketball league and top-shelf endorsements, but his connection with China runs much deeper. His jersey topped China's best-sellers list in 2014-2015, according to Sports Illustrated.

Of course, injuries derailed what could have been a Hall of Fame career, but he still has ardent supporters.

Watch clips of the video above or the full tribute here. Or, if you are super depressed that he never returned to his dominant self after tearing his ACL, you can watch the highlights from his freakin' ridiculous MVP year and wallow. Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened.
