The Cavaliers have fired head coach David Blatt, Y! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski reported Friday afternoon.

The stunning news comes just one day before the Bulls will travel to Cleveland to face the first-place Cavaliers, who lead the Eastern Conference with a 30-11 record. The Bulls, who trail the Cavs by six games, will play Cleveland three more times.

Blatt went 83-40 in his one-plus year with the team, including a trip to the NBA Finals last June.

Wojnarowski also reported that assistant Tyronn Lue has agreed to a multi-year deal to take over as head coach.
