Michael Jordan may be on the verge of being a dual owner.

The GOAT and Bulls legend already owns the Charlotte Hornets and is reportedly part of the group — led by Derek Jeter — that is on the verge of buying the Miami Marlins from Jeffrey Loria.

Jordan won't be contributing much money, the NY Post writes, but is apparently among the 15 investors as the leading contender to buy Giancarlo Stanton and the Marlins.

The deal is reportedly coming in in the neighborhood of $1.2 billion, which is a little below the $1.3 billion asking price of Loria.

Jordan has been the owner of the Charlotte basketball franchise since June 2006 and currently serves as the principal owner and chairman. The Hornets went 36-46 last season and have had only three winning seasons since Jordan became involved.
