No interest in teaming with LeBron? Jimmy Butler tells Cavs he'd rather stay with Bulls

Jimmy Butler trade rumors are coming fast and furious leading up to the NBA Draft, with CSN's Vincent Goodwill reporting earlier Tuesday that the Bulls are shopping their star.

But maybe Butler has little interest in leaving the Bulls. Ever think of that?

Well, one of the teams in pursuit of Butler, the Cleveland Cavaliers, received word from Butler himself that he wants to remain in Chicago.

The Cavs and Boston Celtics are the two most likely landing spots for Butler, according to one of Goodwill's sources. The Phoenix Suns and Minnesota Timberwolves have also been mentioned in recent rumors.

But Butler, who's consistently expressed a desire to stay in Chicago, might not be interested in leaving, even if it means a much greater opportunity to compete for a title. The Cavs just reached the Finals for the third straight season. The Celtics were the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference this past season.

Butler talking to the Cavs about wanting to stay with the Bulls doesn't mean there will be no deal, of course. Nor does it mean that Butler wouldn't want to go somewhere besides Cleveland.

An interesting wrinkle, to be sure. Though expect many more of them over the next few days.
