In an 88-64 victory over Maccabi Electra Thursday night, power forward Nikola Mirotic of Real Madrid in the Euroleague scored a career-high 26 points, earning the title of Week 8 bwin MVP.

Mirotic's 26 points were in addition to his 4-of-5 three-point shooting, eight rebounds, an assist and three steals.

Mirotic was selected by the Houston Rockets with the 23rd overall pick in the 2011 NBA draft but his rights were traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves and then traded again to the Chicago Bulls.

With a 27 points and 10 rebounds per game average he led Spain to the gold medal in 2011, also setting a tournament record. He is also the Euroleague Rising Star of 2011 and the Under-20 European Championship winner.
