Should NBA revisit Ferrell intros at All-Star Game?

The only entertainment for Hornets fans inside New Orleans Arena during Wednesday nights 90-67 loss to the Chicago Bulls was actorcomedian Will Ferrell introducing the starting lineups for both teams prior to tip off.

Video of the introductions went viral, immediately and apparently people enjoyed it so much, that someone created a Facebook campaign urging the NBA to hire Ferrell to introduce the lineups for the NBA All-Star Game on Feb. 26 in Orlando.

While Ferrells zingers were funny, they were tame by his standards, which takes away from some of the luster that has made him who he is today.

Its difficult to say whether the NBA would even consider this a possibility but in the leagues marquee showcase game of some of the best collection of talent under the same roof, Ferrells introductions would quickly be upstaged by the highlights that would follow.

Ferrells slight ribbing of the players is OK for a struggling team that needs to get crowds out to the game, but in my opinion shouldnt be mixed in with a game that sells itself.

Would Will Ferrell help make the All-Star introductions more memorable than what weve grown accustomed to seeing over the years?
