Anthony Rizzo – aka the ‘greatest leadoff hitter of all-time' – accomplished something Rickey Henderson never did

Anthony Rizzo may actually be the greatest leadoff hitter ever.

I mean, it's only two games into his career there, so you can scream "small sample size" all you want.

But the actual greatest leadoff hitter ever, Rickey Henderson, has never accomplished what Rizzo just did the last two days:

So not only has Henderson never led off a game with a homer on back-to-back days, but Rizzo did this in his first two games leading off EVER.

Rizzo's reaction to that, probably:

What's even more amazing is Rizzo needed only three pitches to do so, homering on the second pitch off Zack Wheeler Tuesday night and on the first offering from Matt Harvey Wednesday night.

Henderson played 25 years in the big leagues and is the all-time leader in runs and stolen bases while posting a .401 on-base percentage.

Of his 3,081 career games, Henderson was the leadoff hitter in 2,886 of those, good for 93.6 percent.
