The victory tour rolls on for the World Champion Cubs.
While his teammates have made appearances on talk shows around the country and department stores in the Chicagoland area, Carl Edwards Jr. now gets his chance in the spotlight.
The Carolina Panthers announced Monday the young right-handed pitcher would serve as the team's honorary Keep Pounding drummer before Thursday night's showdown with the New Orleans Saints.

Edwards grew up in Newberry, S.C., which is about 100 miles away from Bank of America Stadium, home of Cam Newton and the Panthers.
"I'm humbled yet very excited for the opportunity to be the Keep Pounding drummer," Edwards said in a statement on Panthers.com. "Growing up in the Carolinas, I've always watched the Panthers and I was a big fan of the late Sam Mills and his never-give-up attitude and complete dedication to his teammates.
"It was that same 'keep pounding' spirit that helped us come back from a 3-1 deficit and bring the World Series trophy to Chicago for our fans."
NBA star Kemba Walker was a Keep Pounding drummer earlier this season (Oct. 30) and Steph Curry served as the honorary drummer last season.
