Cubs dominating National League All-Star balloting

The first National League All-Star balloting update came out Wednesday afternoon and the Cubs are absolutely dominating.

Anthony Rizzo is the leading vote-getter among all NL players, sitting 35,872 votes above the reigning NL MVP Bryce Harper. Rizzo has more than three times the votes of the runner up (San Francisco's Brandon Belt) among first basemen.

Ben Zobrist is leading at second base, Kris Bryant at third base and Addison Russell is narrowly holding off April star Trevor Story at shortstop.

Dexter Fowler is the No. 2 vote-getter behind Harper in the outfield. Jason Heyward and Jorge Soler are not off to the best starts, yet they sit fourth and sixth, respectively, among outfielders, ahead of guys like Andrew McCutchen and Giancarlo Stanton.

Miguel Montero is third among catchers, behind St. Louis' Yadier Molina and San Francisco's Buster Posey.

Right now, it figures to be between Jake Arrieta and Clayton Kershaw as the NL starting pitcher, too, so that could add another Cub into the lineup.

Here are the complete results (to date):
