The Cubs have officially locked up both of their first-round picks after they inked right-handed pitcher Alex Lange, the team announced Friday.

Lange, who was drafted No. 30 overall, went 10-5 with a 2.97 ERA, 150 strikeouts and 48 walks in 124.1 innings pitched this past season, helping LSU reach the College World Series.

The Cubs also agreed to terms with fifth-round pick Nelson Velazquez and sixth-round selection Jeremy Estrada, bumping their signing total to 29 players of this draft class.

The deadline for 2017 draft picks to sign was Friday at 4 p.m. CT.
